These versatile and chic baskets from Maison Bengal are hand woven; crafted from the dried leaves and stems of the Hogla plant. This type of seagrass fibre is a very sustainable choice, robust and stylish with its flecked natural earthy tones.
Finished with a single handle, they can quickly become an every day essential bag. We use ours for carrying beach essentials and storing blankets at home. They look beautiful hung on a wall for hidden storage too.

Maison Bengal is a fair trade company specialising in ethical practice. Sheenagh Day set up in 2004, with the key intention of working with mothers and young women to fight poverty and provide opportunity, whilst maintaining traditional skills. They now work with over 5000 women, who are happily able to work from their homes to support their families.
