We never use AI to produce our blog content - it’s all us! So enjoy the typo’s and know that a real Ondine Ash team human being wrote this. This time it's me - Jess.

As a little homeware shop specialising in everything small-batch and maker made, one of the challenges we face when listing online is how to represent things best when we can’t photograph each piece! Most of the products we sell are completely unique... With ceramics we tend to group things by their glaze; our potters have their typical motifs, patterns and colours which they repeat.
This is the case with one of our most favourite makers; London ceramicist Pip Hartle. As some of her glaze patterns are quite similar, we thought we would make you a handy visual guide which works across all her different shapes of pot. Pip’s work is hand painted onto a milky speckly translucent base, most often in black, sometimes in indigo and then we get a couple of rare beauties which have a bit of both colour.
Pip is an expert glazer, her brush strokes are expressive and loose but feel perfect for each pot. She talks about being inspired by heritage textiles from all over the world, something we are love here at Ondine Ash too.
If you ever have any questions about the exact pots we have in stock, do send us a line, we are always happy to talk about pots!
