We love a graphic glazed pot here at Ondine Ash. Circles and Dots is our visually led edit of handmade ceramics and objects united by one recurring motif — the circle, the dot, the ring — applied by hand in ways that are contemporary and striking without ever tipping into novelty. If you're drawn to pattern in pottery, graphic handmade ceramics, or tableware with a strong visual identity, this is where to look first.

Pip Hartle's dot-rim mugs, dot-glazed beakers, ikat black mugs and round-edged plates bring the most playful dot work in the collection — each wheel thrown and decorated by hand in her studio, so the dot patterns shift and repeat differently from piece to piece, which is precisely what makes them interesting to look at and to use together. Her large serving dishes and table bowls in the same graphic dot-and-rim tradition make statement centrepieces for a well-dressed table.

Wildwood Ceramic Studio's large circle-glazed serving bowls — in both circles and small circles glaze — are some of the most striking pieces in our entire ceramics range: Simon Jones paints each concentric ring by hand in the Forest of Dean, so the circular pattern is loose and organic rather than mechanically precise, giving a £160 serving bowl the feel of a piece you'd find in a gallery rather than a homeware shop. His black-glazed plant pots in a boulders pattern and circle oil pourers extend the same graphic vocabulary to smaller functional pieces.

Annabel Roberts' spiral and ring bowls, stripe-and-dot plate and curls-and-dots plate bring a painterly, more gestural take on the circular motif — her hand-built stoneware from Chiddingfold in Surrey comes in inky Surrey-palette glazes, and each piece is one-off. A Slow Made Goods spalted wood scoop and a Liz Vidal incense holder with a hole-top design complete the collection with their own organic circular details.
