A fine ceramic mug in a glossy simple light pink glaze, hand built by the Brickett Davda pottery studio in Brighton. Each piece is pressed into a mould by hand and brush painted, creating their unique textures and beautiful irregularities. The perfect mug for tea or an americano, this piece works so well as part of a larger collection of Brickett Davda ceramics. We love to combine their soft colours across a table setting.

Brickett Davda is the studio of Jo Davda and her team who have been making her iconic moulded ceramics in Brighton since the early 90s. Their process, happily, hasn’t changed much in that time as “clay is rolled by hand, finished by hand’’. Earthenware is pressed and smoothed into a plaster cast mould (rather than thrown), before firing and glazing.
Their work is set apart by its restrained simplicity and use of colour. The painted application of one colour inside, white below lets the pieces shine individually, no piece is the same - they are “similar but different” and they sit together beautifully as a family.
