Liz Vidal Butter Dish | Dipped Glazes
This beautiful and functional hand thrown Butter Dish is made by Bristol potter, Liz Vidal. Smooth and round, with a dainty dimpled handle on top, it is a lidded dome which sits perfectly on it's plate base. In stoneware clay, it is dipped skilfully in a series of glazes creating a layered tonal effect. This is the perfect gift for a ceramics lover that has it all!
We have three glazed colourways to choose from...
Earth - a series of dips in matt brown, speckled white and light glossy green. Raw clay at the centre.
Caramel - a series of dips in warm peachy, brown tones on a white background and interior. Raw clay at the centre. (this glaze is not photographed yet)
Blue - a series of dips in denim blue tones, on a white background with raw pottery peeking through. Raw clay at the centre.

Liz Vidal creates tableware that sits so well in the hand and is a pleasure to use. Training at Manchester school of art and with London’s North Street Potters, before travelling to throw pots in Bali and Australia, she is now settled at her garden studio in Bristol. Her pieces are all hand thrown and her current collection is recognisable for its decorative multiple glaze dips, overlapping and interacting with one another in beautiful ways.

It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
We are experts at wrapping ceramics and other fragile items with care. We use completely plastic-free packaging, biodegradable packing chips and recyclable paper tape.
