This beautiful and functional hand thrown Butter Dish is made by Bristol potter, Liz Vidal. Smooth and round, with a dainty dimpled handle on top, it is a In stoneware clay, it is dipped skilfully in a series of glazes creating a layered tonal effect. This is the perfect gift for a ceramics lover that has it all!
We have two glaze options - a mix of Blues (blue and white) and Rust, which is a mix of browns in matt and gloss and whites.

Liz Vidal creates tableware that sits so well in the hand and is a pleasure to use. Training at Manchester school of art and with London’s North Street Potters, before travelling to throw pots in Bali and Australia, she is now settled at her garden studio in Bristol. Her pieces are all hand thrown and her current collection is recognisable for its decorative multiple glaze dips, overlapping and interacting with one another in beautiful ways.
