Pinched Cups | Sarah Quick

Sale price£42.00

These small. round cups are such very special pieces, hand pinched by potter Sarah Quick. A truly organic pleasing form, they sit gently in the hand, not too heavy or too light. Perfectly sized for a morning coffee, a sweet little handle and dimpled all over from the pinch pottery process.

Hand pinched from a single piece of clay. Sarah amazingly not only shapes the pots, she digs the clay first too! With an affinity to Cornwall and its clay rich shores, Sarah marks each piece with where the clay comes from, these being china clay from Penzance.

  • Size - 6.5cm high and 8.5cm approx across.
  • As each piece is individually made there will be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the hand made processes.
  • To make your piece last, wash by hand.
  • Hand made in Yorkshire, UK.
  • Hand dug china clay from Penzance.

Sarah digs all her own clay from around Cornwall and Yorkshire where is is based. Its a lengthly process from start to finish and is part of Sarah's commitment to her process and craft. We are very lucky to hold some of her very unique pots.
